I have a feeling they might be gathering voice recordings from folks and using them to create some kind of fake audio for their own reasons.

I don’t pick up calls from unknown numbers anymore. Then I looked them up and it’s definitely a scam. They even sent two young women, all smiles, knocking on my door saying they wanted to inspect my loft. I told them I wasn’t interested and shut the door straight away. Honestly, they seem to think we’re all gullible or something.

Got a call from a woman with a sort of elderly voice claiming to represent the Energy board. She told me the insulation installed through a government scheme a while back was dodgy and could be messing up people's breathing. I almost felt bad for her, but it was clearly a con. She didn’t argue much when I politely declined and ended the call.
