What a nuisance! Had a dodgy call from someone trying to sell me an extended warranty for my household appliances. They went on to pry into the details of my washing machine, freezer, and even my oven! Definitely feels like some sort of insurance scam regarding appliances!

SCAM ALERT. Got one of those annoying calls again offering some supposed deal on a TV protection plan - 3 years for the price of 2 or something daft like that. The woman on the phone messed up the card details and just couldn’t finish the sale. Typical nonsense, nothing but rubbish.

I’ve been getting calls from a 029 2264 number, with the last digits being either 5404 or 8847. You can’t actually ring them back on these numbers, which makes me think they’re not keen on being contacted. But oddly enough, they really want your credit card details to ‘renew’ your white goods warranty. Whenever I get that call, I just say I already took out a policy with them and then mention the washing machine’s broken and to have an engineer get in touch. They usually don’t bother staying on the line after that.
