The number 0292264 is actually run by IP Voice Networks Ltd. I got another call later on a different number, and when I checked that one, it said the number might not be where it claims to be. Apparently, over 300 people around the UK had reported it in just 7 hours. Looks like the same scam callers using fake UK landline numbers to trick folks. Just because a call shows a UK landline, doesn’t mean it’s really from here - it could be from abroad pretending to be local. These scammers, spam callers and cold callers are out to steal your money and personal info. Be careful and stay alert. They’ll try anything to get to you and annoy you. Stay safe everyone!

The guy on the phone was pretty hard to follow, and he said he was ringing from Currys PC World. I reckon he was probably trying to pitch a phone plan and hoping I'd give out my bank details or something.

Had a rubbish call from someone pretending to be from Currys or PC World? not really sure which, they kept babbling about some offer but was so hard to catch what they were saying. Definitely sounded like a scam to me.

I picked up the phone but what they were saying just didn’t make sense, so I ended up hanging up.

Got a call on my mobile from this number but no voicemail or anything, which usually rings alarm bells for me about potential scammers. I have no clue who it was. I ended up texting the Police Action Fraud line at 7726 with the number 029 2264 3723 included. Just a heads up, if you try ringing 02922643723 from a landline, it might cost around 16p a minute, plus some providers tack on a 23p connection charge.
