Got a call from this number today around 2:40pm, they said they were from 3 mobile and wanted to give me a 35% discount because I’m a loyal customer. They asked me to state the amount of my last phone bill. When I told them I’m not with 3, they asked who my provider was. I said, “If I’m such a good customer, you’d already know that,” and they just hung up straight away.

Got a call from some bloke in India running one of those recruitment scams. They’re just after your info on WhatsApp to maybe trick you out of money later on. I messed about with him a bit, saying things like “Wow, this sounds like a great chance” and all that rubbish. Then when he wanted to check if my WhatsApp number was the same, I got a bit dodgy and he just hung up. At least I managed to waste a bit of his time!

Got a call claiming to be from 3 with some “amazing” deal - 40% off my phone contract, they said. I asked who they wanted to talk to. Nothing. Tried a couple of random things - like asking for today’s password and a staff ID number. No answer. Told them I was recording the call for security reasons (was having a laugh at this point!) and mentioned that making scam calls can have serious consequences. Then I explained, nice and slow, that 3 doesn’t even operate this number. So, now I’m wondering how to kill time on what’s otherwise a bit of a dull day!
