Just got a ring from 02922640238 claiming to be from Amazon about an iPhone 14 order supposedly pending. I told the bloke straight that I hadn’t bought anything like that, but he stuck to his story and said his name was Daniel Smith. I checked my account and there was nothing there, so I told him to cancel the order. Then he hit me with this line that I had to log into my account on the same phone he was calling me from to cancel it. Couldn't help but chuckle before ending the call. Total nonsense.

I just got a call from a lady chatting away in what sounded like Urdu or some language like that. Not sure if she knew she’d reached someone or if she was just having a convo with a mate at work. The call went on for about five minutes with the usual pauses, and in the background, you could hear other voices from dodgy calls, people pretending to be from Amazon trying their scams. Not the first one getting this call today, watch out! They want you to give them your Amazon verification code so they can hack your account. The caller said there was an order for an iPhone and if I didn’t place it, they could cancel it.
