This isnt E-on directly. Its some call centre ringing for them about fitting smart meters. Ive told both E-on and these callers that I dont want smart meters. Still they keep ringing even though ive blocked their number, its obvious they dont get it. Smart meters arent mandatory anyway.

Oh great, got another call from the same number again. First time round, they said it wasn’t EON, but today they kinda slipped up and admitted it was. When I rang EON to sort it out before, they told me it was a scam. Just to clear things up, SMART meters aren’t mandatory at all.

Got a call from 029 2222 9992, someone saying they were from Eon. They wanted my info to stop spamming me about smart meters. I told them no way, they’d already have my details if they were real. Then they just hung up on me.

Got a call from a posh bloke named Jake saying he's from Eon Next, trying to get my elderly mum to agree to a smart meter install. When she said no, he offered to remove her from the smart meter list - massive warning sign, since no energy firm would do that. He also asked for her name and address for “security reasons,” which he really shouldn’t have. Mum said no and ended the call. Pretty obvious scam if you ask me.

Someone rang saying they were from EON Next, saying I needed a new smart meter. Since I had recently asked for a new smart meter module, I thought it was legit. They even arranged an appointment today between 12 and 1pm. When no one showed, I called EON to give them a mouthful, only to discover it was a scam call.
