That sounds proper dodgy! I got some missed calls from them but no voicemail left. When I rang back, some guy answered with "Hello John" like he knew me or summat!! Then he goes on about getting money back from a credit card company if they’ve upped your limit without asking, and wanted details about my cards. Smelt like a phishing scam to me, so I just hung up. If they call again, I’m well prepared now!

How does this company obtain my phone number? Whenever my phone rings, I quickly check the caller ID to identify the caller before answering. If the number is unfamiliar or not local, I choose not to answer the call.

This particular individual called me today, on April 19th, 2017, around 2:26 PM. I answered the phone call, only to be greeted with a loud expletive word. Following that, he proceeded to ask me if my name is [my name]. I responded with "Yes", but he immediately ended the call. I'm curious about the intentions behind his actions and what his motives might be.

Got a call for some Mr Cooper - this ain’t the first time from similar digits. They do this to try and get you chatting. Pretty sure it’s some kind of scam - best thing to do is just hang up straight away and block the number on your phone!

I received a phone call today from someone claiming to inquire about PPI. However, as soon as I mentioned that I was not interested, they began asking if I had ever taken out a mortgage on my property. Despite replaying with a 'yes', they proceeded to request the name of the company I had the mortgage with. I declined to provide that information and asked them for the name of their own company instead. When I further requested them to send their request in writing, they insisted that, being a 'green' company, they don't do that and instead asked for my email address. This is when I decided to end the call. As a disabled individual, I am completely tired of dealing with such scams. Take caution and be aware!

Really sick of getting ringed by these lot - they use loads of different numbers so you cant tell its the same firm. Usually it’s about ppi or some car crash insurance claim. Also breaks the cold calling rules big time.

Could it be that the issue isn’t the number itself but rather the people they’re ringing? I’ve never got calls from all these claim companies before. Ever since I lost my job and started thinking about suing those who badly wronged me (to put it mildly), these calls have been non-stop, happening multiple times a day - without anyone actually trying to chat. They just ring and hang up. Sometimes there’s a voicemail like: “Hi, this is X. Are you there? Are you okay?” I wonder, is there something linking all the folks they keep phoning?

Got a annoying call from this “Legal Advice Bureau” about accident claims. Weirdly, they had my details even though I’m ex-directory and signed up with the TPS. I’ve reported them to both TPS and ICO - seems like that’s the only way to get them to quit.

on my true caller App this number shows up as wales Ppi claims, and the app blocks it automatically. from 17 june to 18 july 2017, i've had like 16 blocked calls from them. since the app stopped them, i never spoke to anyone, so cant say how they act.

I've just put in a complaint with the ICO. We're on the TPS list, so it's obvious this firm isn’t bothering to cross-check their cold call data against the TPS before adding it to their calling system. Company number is 08203063, and their MOJ registration is CRM31181.

I picked up my phone, and on the other line was a gentleman speaking in a British accent. He informed me that he was calling about a PPI claim.

I made a phone call today and had to say 'hello' before anyone responded. A young lad named Ben started talking about PPI. I informed him that I couldn't engage with a company that made multiple phone calls and spoke to the first person who answered. This is why there was such a long delay before anyone spoke. I also reminded him that this practice is illegal in the UK. He tried to interrupt me, so I raised my voice and continued speaking. At that point, he threatened to terminate the call if I kept shouting at him. However, I ended the call before he could finish his sentence. It felt very satisfying! Afterwards, he continuously called me a total of nine times, but I promptly rejected the calls as soon as the phone rang. Their behaviour was very unprofessional, in my opinion.

I received a call from an unknown number, and when I picked up, there was silence for approximately 10 to 15 seconds. Then, I heard a beep followed by more silence, and finally, a recording of a man (with an American accent) said, "please stay on the line, your call is important to us." However, this caller did not provide any information regarding their identity or purpose. Clearly, it was just another bothersome call, so I decided to end the conversation by hanging up.
