That sounds proper dodgy! I got some missed calls from them but no voicemail left. When I rang back, some guy answered with "Hello John" like he knew me or summat!! Then he goes on about getting money back from a credit card company if they’ve upped your limit without asking, and wanted details about my cards. Smelt like a phishing scam to me, so I just hung up. If they call again, I’m well prepared now!

This number called me today, 19/04/2017, around 2:26 in the afternoon. When I answered, I was met with a loud “F---!” shouted down the line. Then the person asked, “Is your name [MY NAME]?” I said “Yes,” and suddenly they just hung up. I’m really curious what they were trying to do with that call.

Got a call for some Mr Cooper - this ain’t the first time from similar digits. They do this to try and get you chatting. Pretty sure it’s some kind of scam - best thing to do is just hang up straight away and block the number on your phone!

Got a phone call today from someone saying they were ringing about PPI. Once I told them I wasn’t interested, they quickly started asking details about my mortgage. When I said I did have one, they wanted to know which company it was with. I refused to give that info and asked who they worked for instead. Then they said as they’re some kinda ‘green’ company, they don’t send anything in writing and asked for my email. That’s when I decided to hang up. I’m disabled and so frustrated by these dodgy calls. Watch out for them!

They try to trick you into confirming your name and address, and get you to say yes to questions. They want your personal finance details, trying to extract it smoothly, but if you don’t comply, they turn a bit rude and pushy.

Really sick of getting ringed by these lot - they use loads of different numbers so you cant tell its the same firm. Usually it’s about ppi or some car crash insurance claim. Also breaks the cold calling rules big time.

Could it be that the issue isn’t the number itself but rather the people they’re ringing? I’ve never got calls from all these claim companies before. Ever since I lost my job and started thinking about suing those who badly wronged me (to put it mildly), these calls have been non-stop, happening multiple times a day - without anyone actually trying to chat. They just ring and hang up. Sometimes there’s a voicemail like: “Hi, this is X. Are you there? Are you okay?” I wonder, is there something linking all the folks they keep phoning?

Got a annoying call from this “Legal Advice Bureau” about accident claims. Weirdly, they had my details even though I’m ex-directory and signed up with the TPS. I’ve reported them to both TPS and ICO - seems like that’s the only way to get them to quit.

on my true caller App this number shows up as wales Ppi claims, and the app blocks it automatically. from 17 june to 18 july 2017, i've had like 16 blocked calls from them. since the app stopped them, i never spoke to anyone, so cant say how they act.

I've just put in a complaint with the ICO. We're on the TPS list, so it's obvious this firm isn’t bothering to cross-check their cold call data against the TPS before adding it to their calling system. Company number is 08203063, and their MOJ registration is CRM31181.

Got a call today, but no one said anything right away, so I had to start by saying ‘hello’. A young bloke named Ben launched into his PPI pitch straight after. I told him I wasn’t interested in firms that ring several numbers and talk to whoever picks up first (explains the awkward silence at the start). I also reminded him that this kind of cold calling isn’t allowed here in the UK. He tried to cut me off, but I kept speaking and raised my voice. Then he threatened to hang up if I shouted at him - but I hung up on him first. Feels good! After that, he called me about nine more times, but I just rejected every single one. Not very classy behaviour, if you ask me!

Got a call from this number earlier, picked up and there was nothing but silence for like 10 or 15 seconds. Then I heard a beep, more silence after that, and suddenly a bloke started talking - sounded American - saying something like “please hold the line, your call is important”. But they never said who they were or what it was about. Pretty sure it’s one of those annoying nuisance calls, so I just ended it there.
