Absolutely a dodgy operation, I see it clearly now: http://www.professionalpensions.com/professional-pensions/news/2228527/councils-and-authorities-report-national-wave-of-coldcall-pension-scams I got hit with a pre-recorded message similar to the one mentioned, with a woman speaking in a Geordie twang. Then, the call got transferred to someone named 'Lisa', who had a distinctly southern English accent. You could tell she was calling from some bustling call centre - the background noise was deafening!
