No, this number isn't mine but here’s what happened with it: So, I got a bit silly and signed up for a Ketone Slim XT trial late at night. I’d seen some ‘reviews’ online - which, after a bit of digging seemed like paid ads - and figured, well, £4.95 isn’t much to lose. Big mistake. Right after entering my card details, the fine print popped up saying they’d charge me £90 once the 14-day free trial ended. Honestly, if this stuff actually worked, it wouldn’t rely on those dodgy adverts, right? I quickly panicked and sent two emails to cancel but never got a single reply. Now I wish I’d pushed harder and made sure they acknowledged it. Today, I noticed a £90 charge labelled ‘card not present’ from Ketone on my bank statement and phoned them. They told me my trial wasn’t cancelled and since the 14 days had passed they couldn’t do anything, though they promised not to take more money. Thankfully, Lloyds bank were really supportive and said they’d refund the cash because I’d emailed cancelling within the trial window. They’re keeping an eye out in case Ketone tries charging again. Reading the T&Cs properly, I noticed some confusion - one bit says you have to ‘contact’ support to cancel, another says you must ‘call’ them. I haven’t even opened the bottle yet because I assumed I'd need to send it back. Looks like I will have to according to their policy. Two questions really: with these mixed instructions, is my email cancellation enough? And now the bank stepping in, how likely is it Ketone will chase me for the £90 anyway, especially if I send back the unopened tablets? Well, lesson definitely learned here.
