12 yearsCould this be a number that incurs significant charges?12 yearsNo, that’s not quite right. However, regarding the number in question, here’s my experience: In a rather foolish moment, I decided to try out a trial of Ketone Slim XT after being drawn in by some so-called 'reviews' I stumbled upon late at night (which, upon further digging, seem to be a load of paid-for fluff). I foolishly thought, "For a mere £4.95, why not give it a whirl?" The reality hit me like a ton of bricks when the terms and conditions appeared right after I entered my card details, revealing they would hit me with a £90 charge once the 14-day trial was up. (If these things were actually effective, surely they wouldn’t need to resort to such tactics; I should have known better.) Realising my blunder, I promptly shot off an email requesting to cancel my trial. I even sent two emails, but to my dismay, the silence on their end was deafening. Now I wish I’d been more persistent about following up! Today, I noticed a pending ‘card not present’ transaction for £90 from Ketone on my bank statement, so I rang them up posthaste. Alas, they informed me that my trial cancellation wasn’t processed since the 14 days had expired yesterday, but reassuringly assured me that there wouldn't be any further charges. I promptly contacted my bank, Lloyds, and they couldn’t have been more accommodating. They’ll be refunding the £90 since I did cancel within the trial period, and they’ll keep an eye on my account for any sneaky deductions from Ketone. To complicate matters, I perused their terms and conditions today with a magnifying glass and noticed some contradictory statements about cancellation. One section says to ‘contact’ customer support, while another insists on a ‘call’. What’s more, I haven’t even touched the bottle, anticipating I may need to send it back, as it appears that’s stipulated in the t&cs. Thus, I have a couple of queries: Given the conflicting terms, would my emailed cancellation suffice? And now that the bank has halted the transaction, how likely is it that Ketone will pursue me for the £90, especially if I opt to return the unopened tablets? *Note to self: Lesson well and truly learnt.*Ketone SlimKetoneLloydsSubmit Your Own Report (029 2168 0129)
