This number rang me a couple of times yesterday and today. I didn’t answer, and it went straight to voicemail, but before the voicemail kicked in, there was this weird robotic voice saying something like, “call back on blah blah, don’t ignore this message, it’s urgent.” Felt a bit dodgy to me - if it was really urgent, surely there’d be a proper person on the line? Pretty sure it’s just a scam.

Just got a call like that earlier, saying I'm gonna have legal action taken against me. It baffles me why BT isn’t doing anything about these annoying calls - are they making a fortune from them or what? Heard about these scams loads but this one caught me this morning and I immediately knew it was dodgy. Loads of folks won’t be so lucky though. They keep telling us to report it but nothing ever seems to change. Might just have to go off the directory or maybe even cancel my BT service altogether.

I got a call yesterday from a different number but the exact same 121 message with that American robot guy saying not to ignore it coz it’s time sensitive. Ended up blocking both numbers.

Got a robo call saying there was some urgent problem and a case against me or something. Decided to look up the real HMRC number just to be safe, and guess what? The number they called from was totally different. Pretty sure it's a scam.

I let the call ring and it ended up on voicemail. When I listened back, the message was only cut off halfway through and sounded like a robot speaking with an American accent. It told me to ring them back on that very number and said something like "please don't ignore this as it's a time sensitive issue." It was a bit strange and robotic, definitely not a real person.
