After a short silence, some bloke with a foreign accent started with the typical 'Hello, am I speaking to... bla bla.' I just replied 'not interested' and blocked him straight away. I'm so sick of these spam calls invading my privacy, especially on my mobile number.

Got a call about life insurance, started with a long intro and then said they could help me, but assured me they weren't trying to sell anything. The caller ID showed a Cardiff number, but when I asked, they said the firm's actually in South Africa. They wouldn’t give a company name, just said they ‘work alongside’ the FCA. Asked for my age and even guessed my birth year. Pretty clear they’re just after personal info, nothing more.
