Got two calls this morning, one even before 8am. Poor connection, delay when talking, and the guy had an Asian accent claiming to be from BT tech support. I hung up straight away. Proper annoying.

I received a call informing me that there was a virus on my computer. However, as soon as I probed for more information, the caller abruptly ended the conversation. They claimed to be from BT and had an Asian accent. Quite fishy, if you ask me!

I got a call yesterdy from someone claiming to be with BT Internet, so I just hung up. Then the same number rang again today, with the caller saying they were from Windows this time. Reported it to www.actionfraud.police.uk. I reckon everyone should report these dodgy calls too.

I've had three phone calls today from the same number, and frankly, it was just silence on two of those occasions. On the third ring, someone claimed to be from BT. When I expressed my doubt, she insisted that she could verify it by reciting my account number. Strangely enough, she then just repeated their own phone number back to me. They must think I'm utterly gullible! I've since reached out to BT and am now awaiting a response - caller: allegedly BT, but I have my suspicions!

Got a call at 8.30 am, told the person I work shifts and needed to be left alone so I hung up. Then same number called back about 20 mins later. I asked him nicely to stop calling and he got really rude and aggressive. He said he’d keep ringing me every morning without fail and then just ended the call.

Got a call a couple of times today from someone claiming to be with Windows company, saying there was someone using my internet and talking about junk files or whatever. The person had an Asian accent. I just ended the call because it seemed dodgy. Checked the number online and found loads of others had the same experience. They tried to get me to connect to my computer to fix the so-called issue.

Got a call at 7.30 in the morning, but the line was terrible, couldn’t hear a thing. Then at 8am, I got another call from a lady with a foreign accent asking if I was the BT account holder. I told her I don’t even use BT. She kept asking who my internet provider was, I told her that’s none of her concern. Then she started asking about what laptops or computers I had. When I told her it was annoying being woken up so early and I hadn’t given her any info, she just hung up on me.

They got pretty annoyed when I told them it still wasn’t working and asked if they could just go through the steps one more time.

Keep getting calls from a number that seems UK but shows as 'International' on my phone. They say they're from BT, saying my hub got hacked. Told the bloke if he’s really BT, give me a number to ring back. He gave some London number, not the one on my caller ID, so I phoned it and nobody answered. BT always have 0800 numbers for help, so it’s obvious a scam.

Definately a SCAM call. Your BT phone line and internet are fine, no issues at all! DO NOT switch on your PC or share any info with them!! I’ve just checked with BT directly and they said this is totally a scam. STAY ALERT!!

They always claim to be from BT tech support. My number is xd and these calls kicked off right after I had to contact BT tech, which is apparently overseas. I honestly think the folks working for BT abroad are passing on these numbers to scammers. Money talks, so BT doesn't seem bothered about keeping their customers safe.

I've received calls from this number a total of four times over the past week. Most of the time, it appears as an International call, though it did pop up as the number listed above on one occasion. A quick 1471 check on the International entry confirmed it’s the same caller. It’s just another dodgy scammer pretending to be from BT, targeting my ex-directory number, no less! I genuinely reckon they've harvested these numbers from the BT technical support team since these calls only started after I had a technical issue while with BT. It seems like this less-than-reputable overseas team might be peddling these details to scammers. This number has been incessantly ringing my landline. The sound quality is dreadful, and their telephone etiquette leaves much to be desired. When I inquired as to their identity, the chap cheekily responded, "Why, do you fancy tying the knot?" Upon revealing that I’m a solicitor, they immediately cut the line. It’s clear they’re nothing but con artists. - the caller seems to pretend to be affiliated with the Windows support team.
