This number is clearly just a cover for scammers, probably located in America. The Cardiff number seems to be used only to give the impression that the call is coming from the UK. You can either block the number straight away or have a bit of a laugh by messing with them. If you go for the second option, when someone eventually picks up, act like you’re really keen on whatever they’re trying to sell. Then, when they ask for your payment details, give them a load of fake info - use a different bank, made-up name and address, bogus account number and sort code - and make them waste their time chasing false leads instead of bothering you.

Oh, absolutely, that was from Vanquis! I’d just given the nod to make a payment last night. So far, we've had two rings from them-one we totally missed and the second, well, we hardly let them get a word in edgewise. We calmly informed them that we wouldn’t be accepting any more calls from their end, and they were keen to dive straight into their spiel without even a proper greeting. After that, we simply hung up. They’ll be added to our call block list until after the date we’ve agreed upon; in the meantime, they can go and find a pin cushion to land on!

Dealing with Vanquis’ customer service has been quite the nuisance. It’s as if they have no consideration for when they choose to call. I’ve had them ring me as early as 7 in the morning on weekdays, and sometimes well into the evening at 7 pm on Sundays! Honestly, their customer service and policies leave a lot to be desired - it's just utterly frustrating.

What a right bunch of muppets these people are! Even after we settled on what we could handle financially, they still have the cheek to bother us. On one particular day, I was interrupted by rings from two different numbers all day long! They even had the audacity to call me back using that ridiculous sweet centre you find in toffee apples. When I finally answered, I told the bloke to really pay attention to the notes on his screen regarding our last two conversations. I made it crystal clear that if they dare to ring again, we'll chop up that pesky card and send it back to customer service - I mean, really? These idiots take liberties! VANQUIS, you lot are the very definition of numpties. Please do us all a favour and disappear!

They’ve been ringing us all throughout Sunday! Honestly, it’s a family day for goodness’ sake! What are we meant to do when we’re trying to take a breather? It’s absolutely dreadful. It seems that we've been inundated with calls from Vanquis for the past twelve months, even though we’ve set up a payment plan. It’s becoming quite the nuisance!

I keep getting loads of calls from all sorts of numbers quite often, and then Vanquis texts me once or twice a week even though I've never had any account or connection with them. It's really frustrating.

It's Vanquis again! They're ringing us at least five times daily - it's utterly tedious!

Absolute idiots. I set up payment protection on my credit card because I was unwell. They promised a personal review after three months, but it never happened. Apparently, they sent some automated letter that I've never received. Then, using some so-called clever automated system, they went ahead and CANCELLED my payment protection, and suddenly started bombarding me with calls and texts demanding payment.

I've called those idiots loads of times and spoke with them about my situation until I'm bloody fed up repeating myself, explaining that my protection shouldn't have been cancelled since nothing’s changed and I need it back on immediately. Yet they still haven't fixed it and rang me again today saying my payment is overdue. Meanwhile, interest and charges have been piling up since they deactivated my protection. No way am I paying that rubbish. Absolute muppets.
