In my view, this automated call is just a trick trying to freak you out by making it seem like you might be getting scammed. It’s a complete rip-off if you ask me.

I let it ring and it went straight to voicemail. A strange foreign voice came on the message, saying something like "if you didn’t do this transaction, press 1". Then it connected me to someone who hung up as soon as they heard the answerphone. Definitely one of those dodgy scam calls.

Today at about 3.28pm, I got a call from 02021080685. I didn’t pick up and there was no voicemail. When I tried ringing back, it just wouldn’t go through. Definitely seems like a dodgy number, so I’ve blocked it now.

i got a call from a woman who sounded south asian asking for my partner by her first name. i told her she wasn’t in and asked if i could pass a message on. she said she’d call back and wanted to know when would be a good time. i told her she probably wouldn’t be interested, then she hung up. i tried ringing the number back and it said unreachable. on another try, i got a recorded message from some company called perfect benefit, and then again, the number was unreachable. looks like they spoofed the number and even faked the voicemail. definite scam. blocked them straight away.
