A gentleman with an absolutely dreadful accent rang my phone in search of someone who clearly doesn’t reside here. I’ve always found myself pondering the nature of these sales calls and the pitches they bring, but when I prodded for the name of his company to decipher his intentions, he responded with a shocking lack of decorum! He insinuated that my straightforwardness was sending my blood pressure through the roof - quite rich, coming from someone claiming to be in customer service! It’s quite astonishing how oblivious some people can be; if he had approached the matter with even a smidgen of savvy, he might have actually presented me with an enticing offer. As it stands, whoever he was stands no chance of making a sale with me. What a complete pillock!
