Got a call from some number I dont recognise. I just picked up and left the phone down without saying a word. It was some recorded voice telling me to ring back, but after reading the other reviews, I’m not bothering. They keep texting me too, and I just delete those without a second thought.

This number is used by Link Financial Outsourcing as well as Bamboo Loans, so if you owe Bamboo, it might be them ringing you. It’s probably a good idea to answer and check if it’s Bamboo trying to get in touch about your loan!

Got a call from 029208587000 just now, the woman wanted me to verify my address. When I asked which company, she said Link and mentioned they’d sent me letters before. I told her I hadn’t received any. She tried again, saying it was for data protection reasons, but I refused to confirm. She said she’d send another letter, so I’m waiting for that and planning to reply in writing. As someone from south London, I doubt my response will be very friendly!

However, according to the information here, it seems to be Link Financial. Speaking of which, would anyone consider going on a Dizney Cruise? I received a call from a man from Cardiff, Wales. He claimed to be calling on behalf of the company and asked for my name confirmation, but I refused to give him any personal information. He then mentioned the need to go through some security details, to which I again declined. In response, he threatened to send me a letter regarding the matter. I boldly told him that I couldn't care less about it and that I would simply discard it in the dustbin.

I have noticed that they have been repeatedly calling both my landline and mobile number, but I haven't answered any of their calls as I don't recognize the caller's identity. However, today while I was driving, I decided to answer a call on my mobile. The person on the other end claimed to be from a company called Link and stated that they needed to discuss some personal business with me regarding data protection. They requested that I provide them with certain information. Sensing something suspicious, I chose not to disclose any information and instead asked the caller to identify themselves. Unfortunately, due to data protection regulations, they refused to provide me with any details about their organization. In response, I asserted that I had no engagement or connection with them whatsoever. I firmly stated that unless they were willing to reveal their true identity to me, I would not be sharing any personal information.

02920858700 phoned me claiming they were from Link and said they had a private matter to go over with me, asked for my date of birth but I refused. They then said they’d send something in the post. They phoned back a few days later with the same story, I told them I don’t owe anything and asked them to stop calling, then ended the call. If you haven’t already, I highly recommend signing up with the Telephone Preference Service (TPS). Once you do, most of those pesky cold callers should stop bothering you. For any company that continues to pester you, you can lodge a complaint against them directly with TPS. Now, if Link Financial insists on calling you, or if they’re after someone who doesn’t live here, just mention that you’ll report them to Citizens Advice. It’s important to note that unwanted calls like these can be seen as a violation of your rights!

I keep getting voicemails at home from this number. It's an automated voice saying, "You have an important message. Please call 02920858700." So, I decided to ring them up and found out it’s "Link Financial," and the woman on the line had a Welsh accent. It turns out they have our number associated with someone else's account, a name and address we’ve never encountered before. They assured me they would sort out the records and stop the calls.
