Got a call from some number I dont recognise. I just picked up and left the phone down without saying a word. It was some recorded voice telling me to ring back, but after reading the other reviews, I’m not bothering. They keep texting me too, and I just delete those without a second thought.

This number is used by Link Financial Outsourcing as well as Bamboo Loans, so if you owe Bamboo, it might be them ringing you. It’s probably a good idea to answer and check if it’s Bamboo trying to get in touch about your loan!

Got a call from 029208587000 just now, the woman wanted me to verify my address. When I asked which company, she said Link and mentioned they’d sent me letters before. I told her I hadn’t received any. She tried again, saying it was for data protection reasons, but I refused to confirm. She said she’d send another letter, so I’m waiting for that and planning to reply in writing. As someone from south London, I doubt my response will be very friendly!

I've been getting calls on both my mobile and landline from this number, but I usually don't pick up because I have no clue who's calling. Today, while I was driving, I answered my mobile. The person insisted they were from Link and wanted to discuss some private matter with me, asking for personal info to "protect data privacy." I told them straight up I wouldn't share anything without knowing who they were. They refused to identify themselves, citing data protection rules. I told them I didn't have any dealings with them and unless they told me who they actually were, I wasn’t sharing a single detail.

02920858700 phoned me claiming they were from Link and said they had a private matter to go over with me, asked for my date of birth but I refused. They then said they’d send something in the post. They phoned back a few days later with the same story, I told them I don’t owe anything and asked them to stop calling, then ended the call. Looking forward to the next ring, but they won’t be getting anything from me.

We made it clear to them that we are the ones they ought to be communicating with (Miss X). Due to our gender transition, we've unfortunately found ourselves in a significant amount of debt, which has led to our bankruptcy. We've also pointed out that since we haven't provided them with our contact number, they're not permitted to call us again. Unsurprisingly, they were taken aback and could hardly find words other than to promise that they'd update their records accordingly.

As the month drew to a close, I found myself inundated with tasks around the house, desperately seeking some semblance of rest after a particularly grueling few weeks. Yet, just as I was finally settling down, this pesky number kept ringing incessantly every ten minutes, from what I can only describe as rude and utterly irritating individuals, all while we were trying to catch some sleep in the early hours. We’ve worked hard to buy our own home and manage our mortgage, and the last thing we need at this time of the month is this barrage of calls. What can be done to rid ourselves of these unwelcome nuisances disturbing our peace?

This number has been ringing our house day in, day out, asking for sensitive security details. It's baffling that they don't clarify their purpose before harassing us. I recommend telling them to erase our number and then use BT's call barring feature so they can't pester us any longer. It has all the hallmarks of a scam, or potentially even a debt collection agency. Best to stay vigilant!

If you haven’t already, I highly recommend signing up with the Telephone Preference Service (TPS). Once you do, most of those pesky cold callers should stop bothering you. For any company that continues to pester you, you can lodge a complaint against them directly with TPS. Now, if Link Financial insists on calling you, or if they’re after someone who doesn’t live here, just mention that you’ll report them to Citizens Advice. It’s important to note that unwanted calls like these can be seen as a violation of your rights!

I keep getting voicemails at home from this number. It's an automated voice saying, "You have an important message. Please call 02920858700." So, I decided to ring them up and found out it’s "Link Financial," and the woman on the line had a Welsh accent. It turns out they have our number associated with someone else's account, a name and address we’ve never encountered before. They assured me they would sort out the records and stop the calls.
