Just got a ring from 02920789145, seems like loads of others have too. It’s a Cardiff code - I used to live around there. They were asking for a Miss or Mr. Burniston yet again! Caller wanted to know if this number was for 11 Solva Close, Barry - which it definitely isn’t. They hung up pretty quickly after that.

I got a phone call from a chap with an Asian accent who insisted he was representing Microsoft, claiming that my computer had been compromised. I played along and caught him out in a few fibs before he urged me to access my computer and follow his dubious instructions to "secure it." Then, rather cheekily, he suggested that if I wasn't keen on that, my only alternative was to purchase a new machine altogether! This isn't the first time I’ve had these kinds of calls, all supposedly from Microsoft, but each time the story seems to change - it's rather tiresome!

He stated quite emphatically that my computer had been compromised and insisted I enter a certain command on my device to secure it. Naturally, I probed him a bit and caught him out on a few inconsistencies. Ultimately, I declined his offer, and he then resorted to suggesting that my only option was to fork out for a brand new computer!
