At precisely 12:36 on the 5th of September, I received a call from a landline number in Cardiff. A recorded female voice informed me that there had been suspicious activity on my Amazon account, mentioning a withdrawal of £300, along with a bank transaction for £1200. The message instructed me to press 2 if I didn’t recognise these transactions to provide my details for reporting. Naturally, I took to various websites to verify the claims but found everything seemed perfectly in order. I suspect this to be a scam designed to harvest personal security information. Stay vigilant, everyone!

At 12:36 on 5th Sept 2022, I received a call showing a Cardiff landline number. A recorded female voice claimed that someone had taken £300 from my Amazon account and £1200 from my bank. She said if I hadn’t done it, I should press 2 to report it and give my info. I looked it up online and everything seemed fine with my accounts. Seems like a scam trying to trick you into handing over your personal security details. Be careful, folks!
