Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent asking for my dad. I said I was his daughter and asked how I could help. She said his computer was hacked and she'd have to talk to him later. I told her I work in IT, so if she tried to scam my dad again I’d record the call and report it. She just hung up right away. Honestly, don’t be fooled by these tricks!

Claimed to be calling from Manchester but their English was pretty rubbish, especially when they started going on about Windows systems.

They kept mentioning something about the licence being hacked and saying they'd cancel it. Sounds like a total scam to me.

Just wanted to add to what I said before. I looked up the number and it says it’s from Wales, but the person on the phone claimed they were calling from Manchester. I also searched online and found out that this is a pretty common problem.
