Got a call from someone saying she was “Anna” from “Amazon Security,” claiming there was an attempt to buy a phone using my card. I checked with my bank and they said no funny business showed up and reckoned it was a dodgy call. I even told the police, and they also figured it was a scam. Then “Anna” rang back, saying she was there to help me and swearing she was legit! I’m still not sure if “Anna” was the real deal, but between the unexpected call and what the bank and police think, I’m leaning towards it being a con.
