Got a frustrating call out of the blue, someone trying to push roof insulation on me. Do I fall for aggressive sales calls? Not a chance! They already had my name and address ready, which was a bit creepy. When I asked where they pulled my info from, they just said some ‘database’ but couldn’t name which one. Told them their firm should really be checking against the Telephone Preference Service before ringing people up. I also made them take my details off their list, reminded them about GDPR compliance. Ended up chatting with them for about 10 minutes just to waste their time and hopefully stop them pestering someone else right then.
