Wasn't aware of it, so I just blocked the number.

I wish I hadn't picked up the phone when I was overseas; it ended up being incredibly pricey! They were pretending to be from Sky, or so they said. What a right mess!

Claiming to be from Sky, it honestly felt like I was chatting with a call centre based in India. At the very least, they picked up on our surname!

I received a call from Sky, so I rang them back. If you press 1, they'll remove your details from their marketing list.

I received a call from someone claiming to be from Sky, touting a complimentary television package for a whole year as a gesture of goodwill for being a loyal customer. They were adamant there would be no fees involved. Strangely enough, they seemed to have access to my details since they knew I was already using Sky for broadband and line rental. They requested my password along with the final two digits of the account number linked to my direct debit-something that genuine Sky representatives would never ask for. Feeling uneasy, I declined to provide any of that information and expressed that I wasn't interested in their so-called amazing offer. They promptly hung up on me. I decided to reach out to Sky from another phone line to report the incident, only to discover that it wasn’t them at all. It’s clearly a scam, so do stay vigilant!

Nincompoop: "Good day, is this Mr XXXXXX?" Me: "Indeed." Nincompoop: "I am Mr Nincompoop calling from Sky TV. Blah blah blah, just £6.99. What package are you currently subscribed to?" To cut a long story short, this happened earlier today. Me: "If you truly were from Sky TV, you'd already have that information at your fingertips." Nincompoop: "Could I please speak to Miss XXXXXX?" [For the record, Miss XXXXXX is a figment of their imagination. There’s a Mrs XXXXXX who uses her maiden name for all her dealings, and a young Master XXXXXX, but no Miss XXXXXX. I'm the one holding the Sky account]. Me: "And just who might you be?" Nincompoop: "Do you happen to have Sky broadband and a landline?" Me: "If you were indeed from Sky TV, you wouldn't need to ask that. CHEERIO!"

Absolutely, it's a Sky number. Just ring them back and hit 1 to have your details removed from their directory. I’ve just done it myself!

I keep getting calls from this number on my mobile, but they hang up before I can pick up - not that I’d want to, mind you! It’s turning into quite the bother and rather annoying, to be honest. If it's linked to Sky, forget it! There’s absolutely no chance I’d be swayed by any of their products or promotions.

Hello there! I'm absolutely fuming about this number that won't stop ringing me day in, day out. It's driving me up the wall! What I've done is added it to my blacklist using a feature on my Samsung phone. Now, whenever they try to call, it gets rejected without me even having to lift a finger!

I've been absolutely inundated with calls from this number-18 in total, can you believe it? I've reached the end of my tether! At times, I'm getting three or even four calls in just one day. I'm fairly certain it's some sort of SKY sales spiel. As an O2 customer who recently switched my broadband to SKY, I must say this constant barrage is making me reconsider my choice altogether. It's downright infuriating! Honestly, I'm on the verge of ditching SKY altogether due to this persistent annoyance. - Furious Female

This is Sky here! I just rang up Sky to clarify a few things, as I had my doubts as well. I'm currently with O2, and since Sky has taken over O2’s broadband and home phone services, they’re in the process of switching me over. I've managed to snag a brilliant offer: I get Sky HD for the next year at no cost, free installation, and best of all, I'm keeping the same monthly charge as with O2, which includes unlimited broadband at no extra charge.

I received a call on my mobile from this number earlier. As soon as I picked up, the caller abruptly ended the call. It’s quite infuriating, isn’t it? Why isn’t there more being done by the authorities to tackle these annoying nuisance calls? I’m truly at my wits’ end with this!

I received a phone call from this number earlier today but didn’t pick up. I’ve been inundated with private calls lately that I ignore as well. I’m not a Sky customer, so I can’t help but be curious about what they might have wanted to discuss with me. 😕

I received a call around 1:04 PM today. I thought it was from a courier service I’d interacted with recently, so I picked it up. What baffles me is how this dubious outfit managed to get hold of both my phone number and the fact that I'm a Sky subscriber, especially since I've only just switched from O2 to Sky. It's a bit concerning, isn't it? Could it be that some shady third party has breached Sky's security? By the way, once I picked up, there was nothing but silence for a second before they cut the line. Odd, to say the least!

Just got a ring from the number listed above. I decided not to pick up since I didn't recognise it. I figured I'd better check it online, in case it was something vital-even though I wouldn't usually expect important calls on a Saturday. Pleased I let it go to voicemail!

AVOID THIS NUMBER AT ALL COSTS! I just received a call from a chap with a distinctly African accent who was fishing for information regarding my Sky account. I immediately refused and hung up! Took a moment to investigate and I'm relieved I did. This is definitely a scam-SCAM SCAM SCAM! Just so you know, SKY NEVER INITIATES OUTBOUND CALLS! Consider yourself cautioned!

Today, I received one of those dodgy calls and instinctively ended the conversation. I promptly rang Sky myself to inform them about it. The representative who assisted me was incredibly courteous and went out of their way to ensure my concerns were noted. They've forwarded the information to Sky's fraud department. So, if you receive a similar call, do yourself a favour-just hang up and report it straight to Sky!

Received a call purporting to be from Sky TV. They requested my full name and address, but when I wasn't able to provide the password, they failed to ask any security questions. It’s obvious it’s a scam. What’s more, they called me at 3 in the afternoon on a Sunday!

We’ve also received those calls claiming to be from Sky! My wife’s received a few texts as well, but she isn't the account holder, so it seems a bit dodgy. Sky should know better and have always insisted on speaking to me directly during their calls, which just suggests to me that this is a scam. Best to just ignore and avoid replying! It’s that straightforward! Make sure to report the number to your provider and the TPS (Telephone Preference Service). To be honest, I find the latter pretty useless as they’ve often told me they couldn’t take action even when I’d gathered loads of information on a nuisance caller. Still, it’s probably worth trying, I guess!

I just received a phone call from this number, claiming to represent 'Sky'. It was the typical tedious spiel you often get from cold-callers, like "How's your day going?" and "We've got some thrilling offers you might fancy." Naturally, I told them I wasn't interested in whatever they were peddling. They then claimed that my account information required updating. I probed further, asking which details they were referring to, and they insisted they needed to review everything with me. I stood my ground and reiterated my request for specifics. They then mentioned that I hadn't set a password for my account. I assured them that I had, but they insisted otherwise and urged me to establish one right away. I firmly stated that I had no verification of their identity, and I would never create a password over the phone for someone I couldn't identify.

Received a call during Sunday lunch, but I let it ring since the number didn’t look familiar. Honestly, I'm not chuffed at all if it turns out to be Sky or some sales pitch; who do they think they are, ringing up people on a Sunday? It's beyond me why anyone would consider it appropriate to pester folks for sales on a weekend!

I’ve apparently been getting calls from Sky regarding their promotions and whatnot. Just had one last night after 9 o’clock, and another one just now. Quite frankly, I’m not at all chuffed about it! I've already told them I’m not interested in any additional packages. I think it’s time to drop them an email.
