Sadly, this number is just another one handed out to call centres for all sorts of marketing calls and such. They give it to their agents who then use it to push whatever the hot offer is at that moment. Blocking the number helps a bit, but they’ll just ring from a different line! Honestly, the best thing is to have a separate "work" phone number you don’t mind sharing, so when unwanted calls come through you can just ignore 'em or let them ramble while you carry on with stuff. That way you can keep your personal number private and only answer the important ones. Hope that makes sense!

Just a heads-up for everyone, this seems to be linked to a magazine subscription that they’ll nudger you into considering. You’ll be assured that if you cancel within 28 days, no funds will be snatched from your account. You can keep the fuel vouchers, though. However, don’t be fooled; you’ll end up empty-handed and around £75 poorer by month’s end. I had to help an elderly family member sort this mess out last December. Forget about refunds-they’ll continually assure you there’s no chance of that. After numerous discussions, I finally managed to get the money back, but it required a personal visit, which was fortunately just a short trip away. The folks behind this operation are truly unscrupulous.

Today I got a call from this number, someone asking to talk to my 10-year-old boy. When I said no way and asked who they were, the person started telling me off about how I shouldn't let my kid share personal info online. Since I have a Tesco clubcard, I figured it was legitimate and entered my phone number, believing it to be a simple formality. Almost instantly, I received a text message asking me to confirm my identity by replying 'yes', which I did without a second thought. Then came a shocker: another text informed me that I’d be charged £15 a month through my phone bill for these supposedly 'free' vouchers!
