Got a call saying there was a transaction of £200 on Amazon and £100 on something else, then they asked me to press 1 if I wanted to sort it out. Total scam, don’t fall for it!

I had a run-in with these fraudsters the other day and decided to call them out for preying on old and vulnerable folks. Right away, the bloke got all smug and started sneering at me. He goes, "While you lot, the working class, are stuck with your plain meals, we’ll be chilling out in Miami soon, drinking cocktails and tucking into lobster fancy-style." They actually bragged about cashing in big time during this cost of living mess, making millions while the rest of us struggle with shrinking pay. Absolutely disgraceful. 🤬

Number 02920329065 is linked to a visa card scam. I got a robotic call from someone named Robert saying that a £900 payment was made on my card. They told me to press 1 if I hadn’t made the purchase. If you do end up pressing 1, they then try to get you to verify your card info - asking for things like the card number, security code, expiry date, name on the card and even details such as your address and birth date. I’ve also been phoned by the same scam but using number 01332799775.

Got a robocall saying it was from BT, warning me they’d cut off my phone because of some illegal stuff. They told me to press 1 to talk to ‘BT’. Since this number’s linked to loads of scams like Amazon and banking fraud, it’s obvious they’re just trying to trick folks. Someone should report this so these scam lines get shut down for good.

They stayed quiet the whole time then just cut the call off. After reading the other reviews, my guess is these people might not be safe at all.

I quickly recognised that it was a dodgy call, so I hung up without a second thought! As a result, I missed out on the entire message!

BT’s phone stopped this call from coming through and no voicemail was left, which is fine by me, so I had a look it up. Now I’m happy to ignore this number without stressing and trust the phone’s judgement!

I got a call saying it was from Amazon, saying my Prime subscription had run out. At first, it was some robotic voice giving me the spiel about it expiring, then it switched to a guy with a strong Indian accent. He wanted me to give over my info, but I didn’t just hand it over. I asked him loads of questions that he couldn’t really answer. Definitely a scam, and I made it clear I wasn’t happy about being targeted like that!

Got a call from a woman claiming she was with Visa, saying there was an attempt to withdraw £900 from an account she didn’t say the name of. Told me to press some button or something. Bit fishy if you ask me.

Earlier today, I got a call from 02920329065 saying they were from my bank’s security team. They told me someone in both the UK and overseas had taken big sums of money from my account. I quickly contacted my bank, who reviewed everything and found no issues. Later on, I rang that number back and a polite woman explained that it actually belonged to an analytics firm that scammers had somehow gained access to. I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number on my phone now.

My mum got a call on her home phone from someone saying there was a fraud alert on her card, something like £999.01, from California. They told her to get an app called "anti fraud desk". She ended the call straight away and then rang her bank herself to check everything was okay.

This is definitely a dodgy Amazon scam call. I didn’t pick up but they actually left a message on my answerphone which is not something these scams usually do. The message said something about an order I supposedly made that wasn’t available and asked if I wanted a refund. Problem is, I never bought anything at all! Watch out, this is a total scam.
