Got a call from this number, some bloke said he was from the National Grid. Sounded Asian, said my meter was faulty and needed changing. He seemed to know loads about my account and even the meter's serial number. He said a guy would come to swap it early January. Later, he mentioned there were two companies nearby that could give me a 25% discount. When he asked for my bank details, I just ended the call. BE CAREFUL!!!!!!

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent saying he was from National Grid. He said they’re swapping out my electricity meter and that I’m due a refund. He even knew my address and how long I’ve been with my energy provider. He gave me a new meter number to check when the engineer shows up. I told him I wasn’t comfortable and would ring my supplier directly to double check, then he just hung up on me.

Please block this number! They have called my business line 30 times, even though they hang up each time. The caller became very aggressive when I declined to provide my business details. Got a call from some Indian bloke named Robin, saying he was from the national grid about my electric bill. When I asked which company and where he was calling from, he got all defensive. Then I asked why someone with a deep Pakistani accent was called Robin and where he was actually calling from. He really didn’t like that and started getting abusive. Didn’t realise I’m British Asian myself, so I just went back at him with plenty of swear words and totally flipped the script. Seriously, why don’t phone companies do more to stop this sort of scam harassment???

This situation leads me to believe that this is likely a fraudulent scheme.

Im so fed up with these calls, they waste my time which means losing money too. How come these folks get to just buzz anyone without permission?? Whats the point of the TPS if ti doesnt stop this? And why cant phone companies like BT or Sky do anything about it? From now on, I’ll always check this site first to see if the number is legit or just some scam. Didn’t pick up after seeing it here!

I have been continuously bothered by this particular phone number for the past two days. Initially, they posed as representatives claiming that I was owed a refund due to my energy supplier overcharging me. However, I strongly suspect that their intention was to steal my identity. It is highly improbable for someone to contact me ten times a day solely to provide a refund.

Someone's been calling loads, pretending to be from Just Eat and asking for the business bank details and sort code. They ring like 5 or 6 times a day. When I said no, they started asking for the owner’s personal info like date of birth. Definitely a scam, reported it already.

This number 02920 140 378 has been ringing me non stop, this is the 5th time some bloke named Arian has called. I’m usually quite polite and don’t wanna be harsh but honestly, I’m done with these calls. I told him if he keeps on ringing, I’ll have me mates track him down and sort him out so he won’t be calling anymore lol he just hung up the phone. Guess we’ll see if he tries again!!!!

They rang again today saying they were from UK Energy. When I mentioned they had called last week, she denied it even though she clearly did! Proper rude and pushy on the phone. She kept the line open refusing to end it. After about half an hour, she finally ended the call!!!!

15/09/2020 - Got a call claiming to be from UK Energy, but they wouldnt listen properly and were really rude. They hung up on me a few times then rang back straight away. They said we’d been overcharged on our energy bill but couldn’t even confirm who our supplier was! Asked to speak to a manager but they refused and just kept the line open after hanging up!! Proper annoying scam call.

I received a call at my workplace from someone who claimed to be representing Just Eat, and they were fishing for my information. Curious, I asked them to verify their identity by providing my password. There was a noticeable pause on their end, after which they casually muttered "1 2 3 4." I quickly pointed out that they had got it wrong, and it was clear they weren’t genuinely linked to Just Eat at all. They promptly ended the call. It's high time the authorities stepped in to tackle these scammers!

They acted like they were from companies house after I’d just set up a business. Then they started asking loads of private stuff like my email, phone number, date of birth, home address, even which electricity provider I use so they could make some kind of "official certificate" to send me.

Got a call from an asian bloke asking for the owner, which is me. Told him I was the owner, but he said I wasn’t there. I asked what the call was about so I could pass on a message. He said there was a complaint against me, but I just knew it was rubbish. Told him I thought he was a con trick and not to bother calling again or I’d report him to the police. He just said I could do that if I wanted, then I hung up. He called again, so I warned him I’d report the nuisance calls, then hung up again. Sure enough he rang back straight away, but I just didn’t pick up.

Someone rang me saying they were from the UK energy complaints team. Totally a scam, no doubt. I told them to take my number off their list and not bother calling again, then ended the call. Guess what? They rang back just to say I was rude! Really hope OFCOM sorts these lot out soon, they need to take it seriously.

Got a call from a lady with what sounded like a SE Asian accent, saying she was from UK Energy. When my missus said she didn’t want anything and put the phone down, she rang back asking why. I told her I wasn’t interested as well and ended the call. Proper hassle, really annoying.

I asked to speak to the boss. When they said he wasn’t available, he wanted my phone number to be mates. I said no and ended the call. Then he called again and goes, ‘listen, I’ve got your mobile now, is that for me? You single or married?’ I asked if his work is aware he’s ringing businesses asking ladies for their numbers, and he just says ‘nah love, only you, wanna be my boyfriend?’ Proper dodgy and annoying bloke!

I've been repeatedly receiving calls from a gentleman with a foreign accent on 02920140378. He dials my number a staggering 50 times every day, despite my polite requests for him to refrain from doing so. To make matters worse, he boldly declared that he will continue to call me endlessly. I have never encountered such rudeness over the phone before.

Got another call from a voice with an Asian accent, said it was UK Energy Services - sounds fishy as usual. The line stays open so you can't ring out, which is super frustrating. I've reported them to both TPS and ICO but nothing happens, just the same old story. They just won't give up, keep ringing over and over until you manage to block them somehow. Same crap every time!

Received a call from someone with an Asian accent, purporting to be from the complaints team of UK Energy Services, which I suspect is a complete fabrication. They seem intent on persuading me to change energy providers - quite likely a phishing attempt. They’re exceedingly insistent. No matter how often I notify the relevant authorities about this, it appears futile, as nothing seems to happen to put a stop to these calls.

Got a call from someone with an accent claiming to discuss the electricity bill with "the owner". I kept asking, "Who exactly is the owner?" over and over. Eventually, I told them I wouldn't continue unless they said who they were trying to reach. They replied, "Madam, I have the company's name, address and postcode." So naturally, I asked them to provide those details. That's when they just hung up on me!

I’m really fed up with all these unwanted calls at my work. Whenever I ask to be removed from their list, it’s like talking to a brick wall - they just keep ringing anyway. Now I just unload on them with all sorts of swearing every time they call. They don’t seem to care and keep pestering, but I carry on giving it back until maybe, just maybe, they’ll stop. I’m not a racist at all - I’m Asian too - but these callers from Asia really should be sorted out properly. OFCOM, frankly, couldn’t care less.
