Got a call from some life insurance firm asking for tons of my personal details, so I just ended the call straight away.

Got a bloke on the phone asking if I had insurance coverage up to the age of 67. When I told him I wasn’t comfortable sharing that and asked him to take me off his list, he sounded a bit annoyed, saying I was cutting him off and that what he had to say could be important. I just ended the call then.

Got a call asking for my dad, I told them this isn't his number. The caller got all suspicious and said it was about some life insurance and if dad used the wrong number, what else might be false on his claim. I told them they were being way too pushy and they said it’s just how they have to act from their side. I said I’d let dad know. Had a chat with him and he had no idea what was going on. Watch out for this, it seems dodgy!

I picked up a call from 029 2009 0317 and there was this bloke mumbling to himself. Eventually, he asked for me, but I could catch background noise like it was a call centre. Didn’t bother sticking around, just ended the call and blocked the number straight away.

I had a call on my mobile from a really rude woman wanting to speak to my husband about some kind of review. When I asked which firm she was from, she just muttered something like "cmp" and sounded really annoyed. Thankfully, we're not daft and can spot a scam a mile off. She then asked if my husband was there, which just seemed dodgy - surely if it was legit, they’d have his direct number? Watch out for these sorts of calls!

I've had a couple of these calls too. The moment I begin asking them tricky questions, they just cut off. Just like others have said, they claim they're checking up on an insurance policy. Even after I keep telling them I know they're cold calling to sell me things I dont need, they keep ringing back. It's really annoying.

They called saying they wanted to go over my life insurance, didn’t ask for any money straight away, which seemed okay at first. But as soon as I wouldn’t share my details, they got a bit pushy and annoyed. Definitely felt like a scam to me.

I received a rather dubious call from this number, where the individual refused to divulge any details about their company or the purpose of their call. Instead, they insisted on verifying my personal information in a rather brusque tone. I must emphasise, it doesn't operate like that-one should never share personal information over the phone to someone who has called you! It's only fair they should identify themselves and state the reason for contacting me before I even consider revealing any personal info. Eventually, it seemed that the caller, presumably named Harvey, realised he wasn't making any headway and abruptly ended the conversation. Quite the nerve!

I encountered a rather displeasant individual who refused to disclose the name of their company, opting instead to mention the organisations they supposedly represent. They were rather insistent on acquiring personal information, despite me clearly stating multiple times that I wasn't keen on sharing any details. Once I reiterated my lack of interest, their attitude took a turn for the worse, and it became quite uncomfortable. I decided it was best to end the conversation and promptly blocked their number. Apparently, they were attempting to conduct some sort of review related to my life insurance.

I had a rather unsettling experience with a woman who claimed to be representing a consortium of 38 life insurance firms. She started probing me with some rather intrusive questions. Things took a turn for the worse when she mentioned providing a reference number to her supervisor. At that point, another voice chimed in on the line, which completely unnerved me. I decided I’d had enough and hung up. I felt quite uneasy about the whole affair, especially since they had my name but nothing else besides the fact that I’d previously shown interest in life insurance. I've since blocked the number.
