Got in touch with BT about this number and they confirmed it’s not genuine. They also said they never ask for an IP address.

I got a recorded message from a supposedly my internet company warning me that my connection would be cut off within 24 hours. The automated voice said I could press a number to discuss fixing it. Problem is, they had no clue who I actually am or who my provider is, so I just ignored it. It’s clearly a scam, and I’m convinced if you respond they’re just trying to get your cash. Totally dodgy!
