On the morning of 24th August 2024, around 10.05am, I got a call from 0289 756 8338, a landline number. There was a woman’s voice on the recorded message saying something about a £699 overseas money transfer. They told me to press 2 to reach the Security Department, so I did. When I got through, they just hung up straight away! Pretty obvious scam, but this one didn’t go any further.
