The person called claiming to be from my bank’s fraud team and said there was an attempted purchase of train tickets from Edinburgh to London for about £100. Since I’ve never bought such tickets, they suspected it was a fake transaction. I waited around for an advisor to come on the line, but when they did, I told them straight away I knew it was a scam and to stop calling me or I’d block the number.
