I just got a recorded call saying two charges, £1300 and £250, were taken from my account. It told me to hit 1 to continue.

I got an automated call around 11 this morning (16/5/2022) warning me that £250 Amazon and £1300 card transfers were going to be taken from some account. When I rang the number back, it was actually a private person who had no idea about these calls and had also been getting calls from worried folks like me. This definitely seems like a mix of phone number theft and a scam, pretty concerning stuff.
