I received a call from someone claiming to be from Microsoft, stating there was an issue with my computer. As per my usual practice, I promptly ended the call. To my astonishment, the phone rang again almost instantly, and this time a different chap spoke - again with an Asian accent, also introducing himself as Alex! This individual went on about someone attempting to hack into my account. When he requested I log into my computer, I simply replied with a terse "no" and hung up once more.

I received a call from someone claiming my computer had a problem. When I pointed out that it was a scam, the bloke turned rather nasty and resorted to foul language, calling me terrible names. I simply remarked that it revealed his true character and ended the call.

Got a call today claiming to be from Microsoft, just like they do almost every week. Hung up straight away 'cos obviously it was a scam. Really getting annoying now.

Had a rather dodgy conversation with a chap who had a distinct Asian accent. He claimed to be representing Microsoft and insisted that there was an urgent issue with my computer, alleging it had been compromised and was suffering from malware. He went on to instruct me to switch on my "copter" and to position myself in front of it. Curious, I asked him to confirm my name, to which he confidently responded with "Mr Smith" and mentioned that I resided on Castle Road. I quickly corrected him, making it clear that he was mistaken and that I didn't even own a computer. It was glaringly obvious this was a scam attempt.

My mum got a call from 02897270411 and the person claimed they were from Microsoft about some issue with her computer. I told them it was a scam right away since she doesn’t even own a PC. After that, the caller got rude and just hung up.

This bloke claimed to be from my computer company and when I asked if there was a problem, he said yes. I asked how he knew, and he stuttered a bit, so I told him straight it sounded like a scam. Then he got really nasty, calling me all sorts of rude names over and over. I told him that just showed what kind of person he was and asked him not to ring again before hanging up. It could really upset a lot of people, this sort of thing.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from Microsoft. When I asked who was on the line, they just stayed quiet, so I told them if they didn’t say who they were, I’d hang up for real. They ended up giving their name and said it was about my Microsoft account. I told them I’m blocking the number and reporting it since it’s obviously a scam.

Ignored a blocked caller claiming to be from Microsoft, what a hassle since I don’t even own a computer.

At 11:05, I got a call on my landline from 0289727010411. My phone usually switches to voicemail, and as soon as it did this time, the caller hung up straight away. Strange behaviour.

this bloke with a strong indian accent claimed he worked in microsoft's security team. he told me that for a few weeks my PC had been flagged for being hacked. to convince me he was legit, he shared a licence number for my computer (i still need to look it up though). then he asked me to press ctrl and 'r' at the same time - i wasn’t sure what that'd do so i just ignored it. also, he said whatever i’m entering is too long but never said how much shorter it needed to be. guess i’ll have to send the rest later or something.

some bloke rang saying he was with microsoft, I told him to stop taking the mickey and asked if he honestly expected me to believe that rubbish. he tried to argue he was legit but I just told him to quit wasting time and find a proper job instead.

After I asked what the next step was, he connected me to his 'supervisor' who promised to walk me through spotting and fixing the issue. I told him I was tied up, and he insisted it would only take half an hour. Figured I'd already taken up enough of their time (maybe spared someone else from that call), so I told him I couldn't right then. Hopefully they'll call back, and I can mess around with them a bit more!

Didn’t think Microsoft was even allowed to ring me up? sounded fishy to me, like they just wanted to hack my PC or something, so I told the bloke to bugger off.
