Got a call claiming to be from Microsoft, saying my computer was sending out suspicious stuff and asking if I've noticed anything odd. The voice was a foreign lady’s accent and pretty obvious it was a scam. I told her straight up I knew she was a scammer, and she threatened to block my computer. I told her to block whatever she wants, then just hung up. Such nonsense!

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent claiming to be from the phone company. Said I’d been wrongly charged £249.00 because of some tech problem. I didn’t buy it, so I just blocked the number and ended the call. Absolute scammers! They really ought to be tracked down and made to face up to the stress and fraud they’re causing people.

It was really persistent and felt like a scam, so just watch out for this kind of trickery.

This was definitely a Microsoft scam, no doubt about it. Whenever I get calls like that, I put my phone on speaker and just let them ramble on. I’ll throw in a few questions now and then just to keep them talking longer. Once they’ve gone through all their scripted lines and turn the tables asking me stuff, I just stay silent until they eventually hang up. It’s a pretty good way to waste five to ten minutes of their day without any hassle for me.
