I've received quite a few calls from this particular number in the past few weeks. I picked up the first time, and just like someone else mentioned, they hung up right away. Since then, I've chosen not to answer any further calls. While it might not be sinister, it certainly leaves a bad taste. What on earth could motivate someone to repeatedly ring a person without any clear purpose?

Got a call from someone claiming to be Three, trying to sell me a phone deal that sounded way too good to be true - they wanted all my bank details straight off the bat. Definitely felt like a scam. These scammers just don’t stop, do they? Blocked the number right away.

Never got a chance to talk, so I just went ahead and blocked the number.

Got a call from a Northern Ireland number, but the background was so loud and noisy, I could hardly make out what the person was saying. It sounded like a busy call centre or something. I told them to ring me again when it was quieter, cause I just couldn’t understand a word.

I'm rather perplexed about this particular number, as it rang me thrice today. However, each time I picked up, the caller just hung up. When I attempted to return the call, I found that the number was invalid. Quite odd, wouldn’t you say?

028 9720 4071 Ballynahinch, Northern Ireland, UK Got a call from this number a short while ago. When I answered, there was complete silence on the other end. I don’t have any contacts in Northern Ireland, but I thought it might be something official since the DWP is located there. After checking, though, the number doesn’t match any official DWP contacts I found. Sounds dodgy to me, probably some kind of scam. I’ve blocked the number now. I’d recommend everyone else block it too just to be safe.

This number rang me but they just ended the call straight away. When I tried ringing back right after, it told me that the number didn’t exist.
