Spoke to a polite guy with an Asian accent who said I was getting loads of spam calls. He claimed he could put an end to it if I downloaded some app and paid a one-off fee of £39.99, just needed my card info. Total scam, obviously. Wish the UK govt would finally take serious action against these fraudsters, arrest them and throw the book at them, or something like that. The number showed up as Belfast but it’s actually from North Wales. Definitely a dodgy call.

Got a call from a number I didn’t recognise, so I just blocked it straight away. Didn’t fancy dealing with whoever it was.

Loads of calls from numbers with a Belfast area code lately, didn’t pick up though. Looked up the reviews here and seems like it’s not really Belfast at all but more like calls coming from India routed through a UK exchange. Feels like there’s some shady business going on where scammers buy these numbers. Anyone knows if authorities are actually tackling this? Would be good to see something done.

I got a call from a bloke with a foreign accent who claimed to have all my info and said he was from Call Guardian. He told me he could block all the annoying calls coming through to my number. Thing is, Call Guardian is something BT offer and you can activate it yourself anyway, plus I don't even have BT for my phone. It didn’t sit right with me, so I ended the call straight away thinking it was dodgy.

Got a call outta the blue, just one ring then they hung up. Sounds like one of those international Wangiri scams, where they hope you’ll ring back. Don’t fall for it! It’s probably a premium rate number from abroad trying to scam you. These lot are pretty sneaky, using tricks like that and other scams to get your money. Best thing to do is block the number and report it straight away.

They just rang, stayed silent for a bit and then hung up - what a waste of time! Honestly, they need to get a proper job instead of messing about. I've put the number on my block list but I’m sure they'll just ring from somewhere else soon. I rarely pick up nowadays ‘cos my answerphone is always on specifically for these sorts of calls. Lesson learnt: never pick up the phone when I don’t recognise the number.
