Agreed, this is definitely a scam, best to just ignore it and avoid calling back. Just like the others, this caller said I'd have legal action against me if I didn’t reply. I contacted my local 101 and gave them all the info. They told me to report it to Actionfraud at police[###] or phone 03001232040, where the fraud squad keeps track and aims to block these calls. The TPS doesn’t appear to do much.

Got a call this afternoon around 2:17pm with an automated message about some “Serious Legal Action” against me. They told me to call back on 2896205123 and to demand Officer Lisa Williams (no substitutes allowed). Got a call from 02896205123 today, and it was totally a scam. I wouldn’t advise anyone to talk to them. If you get a call like this, you should report it straight away to HMRC fraud - they have a site online where you can do it.

Got a call at 10:51, this time it was a recorded message from a lady claiming to be from HMRC about a serious issue. It was the second call like this today. At first I was annoyed but then couldn't help but chuckle!

I got a call from someone claiming to be HMRC, telling me to ring them back or I’d face big legal trouble. Honestly, sounds like a proper scam to me. People who fall for it could easily get freaked out.
