Someone posing as a representative from my bank contacted me, but they didn’t actually introduce themselves. They claimed there was some suspicious activity linked to my account-a money transfer via Western Union- and urged me to press certain numbers to connect with an operator or replay the message. The voice was robotic, which set off alarm bells for me straight away, but it still left me quite on edge. Naturally, I went straight to my account to verify. No doubt about it, it was a scam call.
