Got a call from someone claiming to be O2, trying to get me to upgrade and asking for my info. Felt a bit dodgy to me.

Some bloke called sayin I’d won the lottery, I told him I don’t play that online stuff. He said it was from a competition I’d joined online. I told him I don’t enter those. He called back about 25 mins later, probably the same guy, sayin I had to update my bank info. Told him I’d sort it myself and told him to piss off.

Fair Trade Capital called me from a Ballymena number 9583 9994 - but the company is recorded as dissolved on Companies House. The police should look into these prat’s and get them done for it. The person on the line, who definitely didn’t sound like they were from Ballymena, said they got my info from TPD Marketing, which is apparently a US firm. Total load of rubbish.

Total scammers these lot are. Tried telling them to remove my number from their system, but they just ignored me. I’d hang up and then, bang, another call from them straight away. When I said I wasn’t interested, they just cut me off and didn’t bother to hear a thing I said. Absolutely fed up with these pests. Got a ring from someone called Rebecca from Money Power Financial about a free check-up on my Life Insurance. When I asked which policy she meant, she said they work with the top 10 companies and just call around to review whatever policies people have. I told her I couldn't chat at the moment and asked for a contact number. When I looked up the number she gave me, it turned out to be Ballymena Council Offices. Proper dodgy. Blocked them straight away!

Had the same thing happen - loads of missed calls from this number. Picked up on one and stayed silent, they hung up straight away. Today I finally spoke and it was about checking my life insurance. I told them straight away that I’m registered with the TPS and don’t want any cold calls, then asked them to take me off their contact lists for calls and mail. Told them not to contact me again. If they do, I’ll be reporting them to the ICO, though I’m not convinced that actually does much.
