I received a call that supposedly came from Vodafone in Belfast, but I can definitely say it’s a dodgy operation. • Firstly, the area code for Belfast is 02890, not some random 02895! • Being a Vodafone customer myself, I know for a fact that they don’t ring you from a shop; they use a call centre number which would generally be in the 0345 or 0800 range. • To top it off, the number that popped up when they called me was +44, and the call was on the 23rd of July, 2021, at 12:49. Clearly, it stinks of a scam!
