11 yearsKeeps ringing me over and over!12 yearsI've been bombarded with missed calls from this number - it's been a daily annoyance for weeks now. Curiosity got the better of me today, so I picked up, and some bloke asked for me by name, claiming to be from a motor insurance company. I promptly informed him that I don’t own a vehicle. Out of the blue, he mentioned that I was involved in a car accident as a passenger a couple of years back, which was news to me as it never happened! His friendly tone took a nosedive and he became quite rude before abruptly ending the call. I'm utterly baffled by his claims and it’s unsettling to think he has my complete name.13 yearsI've been receiving calls from this number on my home phone three times a day, and it always happens after six in the evening. It's beyond frustrating, especially since my answering machine is not picking up any messages. I've reported the issue to Virgin because my number is meant to be private, but they're not being particularly helpful. At this rate, I'm seriously considering getting rid of my landline altogether!Virgin13 yearsEvery time I pick up the phone, it’s just dead air-then they hang up! Quite baffling, really.13 yearsI received a call from this number on the 8th of November. I'm absolutely fed up with these silent calls; it feels like this number has contacted me no fewer than six times over the past fortnight. They never bother leaving a message on my voicemail, which is just infuriating. I'm so over these PPI calls-if I want information on that, I'll seek it out on my own.13 yearsI got a call from this number and the moment I picked up, they just kept disconnecting. It really got my goat, so I tried ringing 1471 to track these fools down. However, all I got was an automated voice telling me to hold while I was being charged for the privilege. In the end, I gave up. A quick search on the internet revealed it’s a scam, so for anyone else who gets a similar call, best to just ignore it and add it to your blocked list!13 yearsI received a call this evening on October 24th, 2013, from a certain number that I've noticed among my missed calls and caller ID. A chap introduced himself as being from a company-I failed to catch the name-and began rattling on about pensions and those government-supported schemes. I informed him that I wasn’t currently enrolled in any pension plan, yet he continued to reference Bank of England interest rates and such. When I insisted I had no pension, he asserted rather insistently that I must have had one at some point. I reiterated my lack of any pension scheme, but he still rambled on about some government-related program. Having had prior interactions with companies using that same 'government-backed scheme' spiel-only to find they were attempting to sell me debt management plans-I expressed my disinterest. I firmly requested he remove my details from their records before I ended the call, although he seemed to carry on talking even after I hung up.Bank of EnglandSubmit Your Own Report (028 9583 2090)
