Got a call from some bloke saying there'd been a car accident at my house - classic scam. I told him I was actually at a police station and asked where he got my details from. He just ignored me, so I went full on with it: "This is Sergeant O'Reilly from Aberdeen Police. Under the Data Protection Act and the Police Scotland Act 2012, holding confidential police info is a serious crime. If you don’t tell me how you obtained this data, I’ll have to refer you to our fraud squad for criminal proceedings." He cut off straight away after that.
