That number 02895810626 is linked to a scam where they’re pretending to be the legit company Cash4u. It’s called “company cloning” and these fraudsters try to trick you into thinking they’re the real deal. Best to only deal with financial companies that have proper FCA approval to stay safe.

My mate got a call from this number, and the caller claimed to be an old friend from their childhood living in Finland. I told him it's definitely a scam, so he should report the number, block it, and then just delete it.

Just yesterday, I submitted my application for admission to the University of East London, and within a mere 12 hours, my phone rang. It was an Indian woman named Anannya on the line, introducing herself as part of the admissions team at the university. The way she quizzed me felt just like how a member of the admissions committee would. I found myself rather puzzled as to how she had managed to obtain my name and mobile number, considering I've not shared my contact details with anyone in the UK!

Someone calling saying they were from our energy supplier saying our meter read didnt match the serial number they had. When I asked which company they represented, they said that because of covid all the energy companies like e-on, British Gas and the rest are working together now. Obviously a total scam!

02895810626 - they said they were from Barclaycard but gave some dodgy info that made me think it was a scam. First, they mentioned sending me a new card, then they asked for my card’s expiry date. That’s when I started getting really wary.

I recently dialled up 08000485419, genuinely believing I was contacting Yahoo’s support team, as I suspected I had fallen victim to hacking - quite the ironic turn of events! Shortly after, I received a call back from 02895810626, who claimed I had indeed been compromised. They went on to request remote access to my computer. Thankfully, despite a bit of a frenzy, I recalled those television programmes detailing how cybercriminals operate and decisively declined their offer. They assured me everything would be alright and that they could resolve the issue on their end, but by that point, I had already shared my PayPal username and date of birth.

Got scammed a couple years back, only just realised it happened, now any call from a number I don’t recognise freaks me out. Really thankful for this website, without it I’m sure I’d be even more anxious. After reading the reviews, feels like you’ve got my back again, cheers for that.

I received a rather alarming call from someone claiming I was involved in money laundering with my bank account and that jail time could be imminent. They insisted that to clear my name from their list, I needed to rush to a Western Union and wire over £200 today, specifically around 4 in the afternoon. Just an hour later, he rang me again, and I mentioned that I couldn't manage to gather that amount. He ominously replied that I would have to deal with the repercussions, but after a moment, he added that I could always try again tomorrow. Absolutely ridiculous! 🤣🤣

Missed three calls from this number at first, then the caller switched to a private number, which I didn’t pick up either. Left a voicemail though, just some bloke with an Asian accent saying "hello" over and over, like 3 or 4 times. Not sure why he kept repeating himself, like he expected a response from my voicemail. Judging by other reviews and my experience, I’d seriously recommend ignoring this number or blocking it if possible. These callers are a real nuisance, probably worse, and something ought to be done to stop them.

Somebody pretended to be from Microsoft, said my PC was infected and the virus had spread via my wifi. They wanted just over £3 to fix both. They even took over my computer and left it running. While they were doing that, I looked up the number and found out it was a scam. When I told the bloke, he called me a load of insults and then cut the call.

This number was used by someone pretending to be a stripogram, singing songs and urging me to do inappropriate things. At first, he claimed a mate from my area had arranged it for me, but when I asked who it was, he just said he wanted to keep me guessing while he enjoyed himself. After asking again and again, I warned I’d hang up - but he cut me off first! I’ve since reported it to the police.

I misplaced my phone back on the 16th April. Then, on the 19th at 4:04pm, this number popped up as a missed call on my husband's phone, coming from Belfast. We don’t know anyone there at all. Seems pretty dodgy to me.

02895810626 kept ringing me loads so I never picked up. After a few days I tried calling back loads of times but no-one ever answered. I eventually sent a message with some not so nice words and then blocked the number completely. Honestly, they seem like a right bunch of trouble and best kept well away from.

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent claiming he was from our electricity provider, asking for some details. He did mention stuff about our meters, but it was obvious a dodgy scam. We rang up our actual provider first and they said it wasn’t them. After calling the guy out, he got pretty rude, and we told him to jog on. That just caused a flood of annoying calls with nothing but swearing. Brilliant, really!

I received a rather dodgy call from someone who identified himself as working for an Indian call centre, claiming he wanted to purchase some goods from us. He even provided a local address and phone number, which turns out belongs to another furniture firm that’s no longer in business. Could it be that we’re just another target on his shopping list? I couldn’t quite figure out his game plan, but he abruptly ended the call when I started questioning him. Quite suspicious, wouldn't you agree?

I wasnt home when this number called but they dropped a voicemail. They actually knew my hubby’s name. Claimed to be from a tech support team saying we had bought some kind of computer protection that was about to run out. I just deleted the message right away.

I suspect a con artist attempting to switch my electricity provider without consent. They rang me claiming to be from the meter reading division of my energy supplier. They requested the meter point reference number from my bill-if they were genuinely representing my supplier, wouldn't they already possess that information? Honestly, what a load of nonsense!

This number usually pops up when someone’s calling through Skype but hasn’t bought a proper phone line. Calls either show as private or with this exact number. Honestly, it could be anyone who knows how to use Skype.

I received a rather dubious phone call from someone claiming to be the manager of a floor sanding business I'd recently contracted, scheduled to commence work today, no less. An 'operative' showed up, had a quick look around my flat, and then made some flimsy excuse about needing to make a phone call before he promptly disappeared. As I had my suspicions, it came as no surprise that he had no intention of returning. The caller subsequently rang me, offering a contrived apology and dragging out the conversation unnecessarily-acting as though he was suffering from a dreadful cold in a bid to gain my sympathy. Here I am now, £550 lighter, with absolutely nothing done! I can only imagine that the next step will be to ask for my bank details under the guise of needing to reimburse me…

I bought a posture support device from this number for £22 on 17 January 2021. I was given a tracking number for UPS; however, when I contacted them, they claimed not to have any record of it. I've reached out to the seller multiple times via email, yet they keep insisting it's on its way. Now I see they've deducted £35 from my bank account without my consent.

These scammers are really bad news, pretending to be from HP printer support. They get really pushy and rude if you challenge them. They ring you from loads of different numbers trying to make you think it’s them calling back to fix your printer, laptop, or anything connected to that company. I always make sure I don’t let them get far enough to cause any harm. Seriously, only contact official customer service numbers or use their online chat to avoid falling into their traps. Oh, and just so you know, they usually ring you from a mobile phone based in Kolkata, India.

No idea who they claimed to be but they somehow got bank card info from an older, vulnerable person. Tried to take money off the card five times, over £1000 in total. Luckily none went through. Card's cancelled now and we've blocked the number on the phone. It’s just awful!

I received a call from an Asian gentleman who introduced himself as John, claiming to be representing British Telecom, stating that my Broadband service was due for an upgrade. He rattled off a lengthy string of characters, urging me to verify something on my computer. That immediately raised red flags for me, so I hung up and searched the number 02895810626 online. The multitude of warnings on your site confirmed my suspicions-it was undoubtedly a scam. Not long after, my second landline rang, and wouldn’t you know it, it was the same caller. I bluntly told 'John' he was a fraudster, suggested he find some self-respect and a legitimate job, and to cease disrupting people's lives. To my utter astonishment, he hung up on me.
