Got a call from someone saying they were with Consumer First UK and wanted to go over my Aviva life insurance. Thing is, I don't have any life insurance at all.

My phone kept showing like 11 calls from the same number all at once. When I picked up one, it hung up immediately, but then another call from the same number was waiting. I answered again, and the same thing kept happening over and over. It got so frustrating, I just ended up blocking the number.

Got three calls all within a couple of hours. I didn’t pick up and let it ring out to voicemail, but they never left anything. I had a bad feeling it was a scam and seeing the other comments here pretty much proved it.

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent asking to speak to me. When I asked who he was, he said he worked for an energy firm. I told him to remove me from their list, but he just flat out refused, said "No I will not". Quite cheeky.

Got a call out of the blue from some woman with an Indian accent. She said she was ringing from Amazon about an iPhone 13 I supposedly bought? I’ve never placed an order like that. Definitely feels like a scam to me.

This morning, a guy rang me from this number claiming my Sky subscription was about to renew. He mentioned I was three days overdue. I quickly realised it was a scam! There’s no way this was a genuine Sky representative reaching out to me from this line.

Yesterday lunchtime, this number showed up as a missed call on my phone. When my answerphone started, I just ended the call straight away. After seeing some reviews from other people, I'm gonna label this number as dodgy.

I got a call about some tv maintenance or something? Totally didn’t add up, felt like a scam to me.

So, on the 1st of April, I received a text about obtaining a covid pass. I almost clicked the link but realised it seemed dodgy just in time and exited immediately. I then switched off my WiFi straight away. The next day, 2nd April, my phone rang but there was no sound and the call cut off pretty fast. When I called the number back, I heard a recorded message in an American accent talking about maintenance. Later on, I looked up the number online and stumbled upon this info.

Watch out, it’s a scam! If you get a dodgy call or text, make sure to report it straight to the police fraud website. Just search for ‘action fraud’ and head over to the ‘police.uk’ page. There’s a section called ‘report a phishing attempt’ where you can find all the info you need before filling in the details. Be sure to add any links or URLs you’ve seen. You don’t have to create an account or give personal info, unless you’re reporting a scam where you’ve actually lost money. The more of these are reported, the better chance the police have to track down the crooks.

There was a pause, then a bloke with a weird accent said he was ringing on behalf of Sky. I got a bit dodgy about it and just ended the call - I don't even have Sky, so couldn't care less.

Got a call from what they said was Sky maintenance, but I reckon it was just some call centre in India. When I asked who they wanted to talk to, the line just went dead. Bit dodgy, don’t you think? Not really shocked though!

At about 10.26 on the 1st of April, I got a call from this number. A woman with a strange accent said she was calling from Sky. When I told her I couldn’t talk because I was expecting another call, she just ended the call right away.

Got a call from a bloke with a strong Indian accent claiming my Sky subscription needed renewing right away. I asked him for the Sky account number he was talking about (funny thing is, I don't even have Sky!) and he just clicked off. Definitely smells like a scam to me. It’s a bit daft to mark this as “dangerous” because if someone falls for this, they’ve probably not been thinking straight. This site could really do with a “scam alert” section.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with Sky saying my maintenance contract was due for renewal. The voice was clearly from an Indian call centre. When I asked them to confirm the first line of my address, they completely messed it up and gave me a made-up one that was nothing like where I live.

Some bloke was mumbling nonsense before hanging up. I could catch a few other people talking in the background too.
