I received a call from a number I didn’t recognise, so I decided to let it ring. Lately, I've been inundated with strange calls from places like Italy, Spain, and even Tyneside. I noticed a prior comment mentioning that the caller was also with o2; I'm in the same boat. One can't help but ponder if there have been any security breaches at o2? - number in question: 028 9560 7548.

I got a call from someone saying they were from 02 and wanted to offer me an upgrade. Thing is, they used my middle name, which I hardly ever give out unless I’m suspicious of the site I’m dealing with. I’m actually with EE, so it sounded off straight away. I ended up blocking the number.

I received a call purportedly from O2, which is indeed my provider. The caller inquired whether I was on a pay monthly plan or on pay as you go. It struck me as quite odd that O2 wouldn’t have this information at hand. When I confirmed that I was a pay monthly customer, they went ahead and asked the same question once more! At that point, I decided it was best to end the call. Felt certainly fishy, if you ask me! 😳 - Caller: Claims to represent O2
