I don’t pick up calls from unknown numbers anymore. I checked one number once and turned out to be spam, so I blocked it. Then a very close one rang me soon after, and I blocked that too. Now I just ignore any call from numbers I don’t recognise.

They keep calling me, saying they’re from O2, but I’m actually with EE, so it’s clearly a scam. I’ve blocked their number, which has stopped the ringing, but they’re still able to leave voicemails. Over the past day, I’ve received about six voicemails that are either completely silent or just have hold music playing. What’s really strange is one message where you can hear the caller breathing and a chat happening in the background, which sounds dodgy. I've decided to report this to the proper authorities.

Got an O2 SIM delivered about a week ago and then out of nowhere, I get a call from someone claiming to be O2. They were talking nonsense, so naturally, I gave them a very polite "leave me alone" kinda response. Looks like my details might’ve been passed on somehow to these scammers. Ended up chucking the SIM in the bin right after that call. Typical!

I must urge everyone, if you get a call from this number stating they’re from O2, just hang up immediately! Whatever you do, don’t give them any one-time codes if they send you a text. They could easily infiltrate your account and empty your bank account. Seriously, just hang up!!!

What's unsettling is that they mentioned I had recently ordered a new SIM, recited parts of my security password, and even rattled off my bank details. The caller's accent seemed to suggest she was from Leeds, yet the number had its origins in Belfast. It all feels a bit dodgy and I’m really puzzled about how they managed to obtain all that personal information. Quite alarming, really!

Got a call today after ordering an O2 sim, this bloke claimed he had a better offer for me. He emailed some contract stuff that looked pretty official, but when he started asking for my bank info, I told him no and he just hung up. Honestly, DO NOT GET TRICKED BY THIS. The email address wasn’t from o2.co.uk, it was some dodgy looking one like [email protected]. It’s a sneaky scam so don’t ever hand over your card details to anyone you haven’t checked out properly.
