Got a call from some guy with a thick Indian accent claiming he was from BT. He said there was something wrong with my router and it had to be replaced. Then he asked to take control of my computer, which raised all sorts of red flags, so I just ended the call straight away.

Some guy with an Indian accent rang me pretending to be from BT Openreach about my internet. He said he needed to get into my computer. I had a bad feeling about it instantly, so I acted like I was a tourist and kept telling him in a broken accent, "Me no understand, speak again please?" After a while he just gave up and hung up! 😂

Got a call from a lady with an Indian accent saying she was from BT Openreach. I didn’t want to talk so I just hung up. Then she rang me right back and started being really nasty and threatening. I’ve since reported the whole thing to Action Fraud.

I got a call from a bloke claiming to be with BT, but his English was pretty dodgy. He kept saying stuff like ‘we need to drag out the virus’ and mentioned something about ‘internet calling.’ Seemed off to me, so I just ended the call.

Just like loads of other people have said, this bloke with an Indian accent kept ringing saying he was from BT. I told him quite clearly we don’t have BT and asked him to stop calling us (yet he still rang again!). Proper annoying.

On 30/07/2018, I got a call from a guy speaking with an Indian accent claiming he was from BT Openreach. He said he needed to discuss my broadband. When I joked and asked what he could possibly want to know about it, he just shut me down right away.

I got a call from 02894466062, some woman with an accent like she was from South Asia, saying she represented BT Openreach from London (which is a bit odd since that number's actually from Antrim, Northern Ireland). She started talking about my broadband speed - but I'm not even with BT! I politely told her to take a hike.

I have absolutely no clue who this number belongs to. I only pick up calls from contacts that are saved in my phone, and those usually have a name attached - particularly if I'm anticipating a business-related chat. As for this number, it appears to have the Northern Ireland area code, but I don’t know anyone from that part of the world!

Got a call from 0289 446 6062, bloke with an Asian accent claiming he was from BT. He was going on about my internet getting cut off. I just hung up straight away since I’ve heard it’s a scam going around here.
