7 yearsI tried to reach them, but I couldn't get through because the number didn't seem to be valid.7 yearsAt about 5:27 pm on Friday 29th March 2019, I picked up my phone and said "Hello". The bloke who answered asked if I wanted to help him with something rather rude - he actually said "Would you like to wipe my arse?". He then went on to mention my name which caught me off guard. Before hanging up, he gave me a London address, though I can’t quite recall exactly where. It really unsettled me that he spoke so casually like that and knew my name.London7 yearsGot a call from a guy with an Asian accent claiming he worked for BT and telling me my internet was somehow illegal. Told him it wasn’t true and he just abruptly ended the call.BT7 yearsNo one spoke when I answered.7 yearsThis lady claimed my computer's ID showed it was secretly downloading hacking programs and offered to fix it for me. When I asked her to give me the ID, she rattled off a string of 32 characters. I told her that didn’t look right and she insisted only Microsoft could know the ID. I said I already knew my computer’s ID and asked her to send it to me by text so I could verify it before turning on my PC. Then she just ended the call.Microsoft7 yearsI picked up and there was complete silence from the other side.7 yearsGot a call from a guy who sounded Asian, claiming to be with Microsoft. Really wouldn’t give up, kept on at me.7 yearsGot fed up with all those annoying ring rings? I got myself a call guard phone, and its brilliant. It only lets calls from numbers saved in my contacts or ones where the caller says their name before it lets the phone ring. If it’s some random spammer, I just block or ignore the call. All you gotta pay for is the phone and your BT caller display service. Honestly, it’s made life so much more peaceful.7 yearsGot a call from them today. I reckon if an elderly or vulnerable person got such a call, it might really scare them. Also, why does the number just go dead when you try ringing it back? Weird behaviour.7 yearsThis number keeps ringing me up, saying it’s from something like “your benefits” or “UK benefits,” but the accent doesn’t sound English at all. I’ve told them loads of times not to ask me questions on the phone and to take my number off their TPS register. Sometimes there’s no one on the other end, other times they claim to be about UK benefits which is confusing if you actually get benefits yourself!
