Had the same “Microsoft” scam call a couple of days ago. They rang my wife and got pretty aggressive when she questioned, “Are you trying to take over my computer?” Funny thing is, the number showed up as Northern Irish, but there was definitely no local accent on the line.

They’ve rung me a couple of times now. Each time, they just left a voicemail saying “helio?” in a bloke’s voice, kinda with an Indian tone. Honestly, what do they expect? That I’m gonna call them back after such a weird message? Ridiculous.

oh man, ive dealt with this kinda thing loads before, always different scammers ringing me up. they think its okay to mess with us but we aint allowed to fight back. i usually just tell em to get lost and use some pretty harsh words. trust me, saying it how it is really helps.

Got a call from someone saying they were with Microsoft, said my PC had been hacked. I was a bit iffy from the start. I told him to send me his password if he really wanted to fix it. He caught on I was joking, got mad and then just hung up on me.

I missed the chance to answer the call, but judging by what others said, it’s probably some sort of scam or phishing attempt. When I tried ringing the number back, an automated voice said the number couldn’t be found.

I got a call from someone saying they were from Microsoft support. They told me there was an issue with my computer and tried to convince me to let them connect remotely. Definitely a scam trying to phish info.

Back in May 2018, around 9.50 in the morning, a man called me saying he was from Microsoft. He wanted to check if I owned the computer. When I asked the reason for his call, he just kept asking if I was the owner. I didn’t answer, so he said he’d call again soon. I told him there’s no need to bother.
