I reckon this scam has been doing the rounds for over a decade now. I got fed up when some bloke pretending to be a Windows expert from Microsoft told me to open the event viewer, then just hung up. Next, he phoned me about four more times within ten minutes. The fact they use a UK landline number and speak decent English might fool some folks, but trust me, it’s definitely a con.
