Same old scam ring me up. As soon as my answerphone kicked in, they ended the call. I really don’t get how this number is still active for dodgy calls after all the complaints over the past few months. The TPS must take ages to look into these things - it’s probably dragging on for months. It feels like a waste of time if they’re not stopping the number right after it’s been flagged a handful of times.

Got a call from someone saying they were with Microsoft, but when I asked for his name again, he couldn’t even recall it. Then when I questioned him about his date of birth, he wasn’t able to tell me how old he was! Really annoying and way too pushy.

Got a call from someone saying there was an issue with my Microsoft account or something on my PC. Problem is, I don’t even own a computer, so obviously a scam. They claimed to be ringing from Reading, but the number had a Lisburn, Northern Ireland area code. Feels like they’re just one of those scam centres probably based in India or somewhere like that.

I got a call the other day claiming to be from ‘British Telecom HQ’, saying there was a ‘serious problem’ with my internet, apparently being linked to some kind of crime. I told the guy straight that he clearly wasn’t from BT and that if he wanted to keep going, at least he was making me chuckle. After that, he turned rude and told me to hang up. It’s so frustrating that these scammers keep pestering folks and nothing seems to be done about it.

On 16th of May around half past twelve, I got a call from this number. It was an automated voice saying something about a £300 charge from Amazon plus another £1000 about to go through. Since I dont shop on Amazon, I just hung up straight away. I rang my bank with their official number to double check, and they said it was a scam attempt. Luckily I gave them no info and there was nothing showing up on my account. I looked again a few days later and still no dodgy payments had gone through.
