Some woman with an Asian accent called asking for my husband by name. When I asked what it was regarding, she said it had something to do with consumer rights. I told her he wouldn’t be interested but she kept insisting she needed to talk to him. I told her I was exercising my own consumer rights and then just blocked the call.

02892528916 - Got a call from Lisburn, a woman with an Asian accent said she was from "Consumer Rights". Took me a few tries to catch that! Usually I get what they say but this time her accent was really hard to follow, so I asked if someone else could talk who speaks clearer English. She just hung up. She did know my name though. The call was about some timeshare. I reckon they got my number off the old timeshare middleman, probably without my permission. I might of given her a chance to see if the call was legit but the accent made it impossible to understand. First time they've rung me.

Asian woman called, knew my name and mentioned I had a timeshare before. She was really pushy and sounded like she was reading from a script about some kind of compensation for timeshares. I tried to explain I got rid of mine years ago, but she wouldn’t let me get a word in. Used to mess with these telesales people for a laugh, but now I just hang up and hit the BLOCK button on my BT Call Guardian. It’s been ages since one of these pests got through, but I’d switched it off a few days ago so my GP could ring me, then forgot to turn it back on. All sorted now though.
